Sealing Systems, Inc. is located in Loretto, Minnesota. The company was formed in October of 1995. It was created by a group of individuals who have over 150 years of experience in the underground utilities market. Sealing Systems Inc. was incorporated by the State of Minnesota on December 12th 1995 and became Sealing Systems, Inc. (SSI). Sealing Systems , Inc. manufacturers and distributes products designed to prevent infiltration and erosion in manholes, catch basins and pipes.

The externally applied Infi-Shield® is made from high grade EPDM rubber with a minimum thickness of 65 mils. The seal is one continuous band that is bonded to the structure with non-hardening butyl mastic which has excellent adhesion properties. Infi-Shield® is designed to seal the outside of the grade adjustment ring area and joint sections in manholes, catch basins or pipes and is available in many different sizes and shapes. Infi-Shield® installs in just minutes with a two man crew.

Flex-Seal Utility Sealant® is a state of the art plural component aromatic urethane designed to prevent inflow/infiltration and to provide corrosion protection on the inside of the grade adjustment ring section or joint section. Flex-Seal Utility Sealant® provides an excellent seal and it will pass a vacuum test according to ASTM standards. It is manually applied using a paintbrush and the kit is designed to cover 12 vertical inches. It is highly versatile and will fit any manhole shape. Flex-Seal Utility Sealant® is packaged in a kit weighing just 9-1/2 pounds. A kit will cover approximately 12 vertical inches on a standard 27” diameter manhole.

Sealing Systems, Inc also distribute manhole cover inserts which are designed to prevent rainfall induced inflow through the manhole cover. The inserts are custom made to size from either stainless steel or a strong and durable plastic. The inserts are a low-cost fix and can be inexpensively installed by in-house maintenance personnel.

Using an internal or external seal will substantially decrease wastewater treatment costs and save on costly maintenance. These patented products have proven to be one of the best permanent methods to seal and protect the troublesome area in the manhole or catch basin from infiltration and inflow
