Russ Roberson was running his own plumbing business in Visalia when he met John McLaughlin. “He asked me if I had any work for him, and I told him to call me the next morning at 8 and I’d let him know.” John called promptly at 8, and even though there was no work available that day, continued to call each morning at 8 until he was hired. “I knew he was reliable,” Russ said.
